Many entities reference other entities (e.g. a Session belongs to an Event). Instead of requiring raw UUIDs, the import wizard resolves references by human-readable fields:

When migrating from another system, map your original created/updated dates to pmCreatedAt and pmUpdatedAt so the platform displays when records were originally created, not when they were imported.

Each entity has a downloadable sample CSV with realistic data. Use it as a template to ensure your columns match.
Remove duplicates, fix formatting, and ensure emails are valid before uploading. The wizard will flag issues, but clean data imports faster.
Import 5–10 rows first to verify mappings work. If everything looks good, import the full dataset.

Attendees, speakers, and registrations are linked to events by exact title match. Use the same event name across all CSVs.
CSV files (.csv) with UTF-8 encoding. The first row must contain column headers. Maximum file size is 10 MB per file.
Only organisation owners and admins have access. Regular members and attendees cannot run imports.
Standard Import lets you pick an entity type first, then upload a single CSV file for that entity. Smart Import lets you upload multiple CSV files at once — AI analyses each file’s columns and sample data to automatically detect which entity type it belongs to, then imports them all in the correct dependency order.
Click the "AI Map" button in Step 3. The system sends your column names and a few sample values to our AI model, which returns suggested target fields with confidence scores. You can review and override any suggestion before proceeding.
Auto Map uses fast, local name-matching (e.g. matching 'email' to 'Email'). AI Map uses our AI model for smarter matching that understands synonyms and context. AI Map is more accurate but uses AI credits.
When you upload CSVs in Smart Import mode, our AI model analyses each file’s column names and a few sample rows against all 11 entity schemas. It returns a confidence score and reasoning for the best match. You can override the suggestion before importing.
Before uploading, choose your strategy: Skip (ignore duplicates), Update (overwrite existing records), or Create New (allow duplicates). For attendees, email is the primary duplicate key. For events, it's the title + start date.
Yes. Completed import jobs can be rolled back, which deletes all records created by that specific import. Go to the import job and click Rollback.

The wizard resolves references automatically. For example, if you import attendees with an 'Event Name' column, it matches the text against existing event titles in your organisation. If no match is found, the row is flagged as an error.
No. Speakers, sessions, sponsors, FAQs, ticket types, promo codes, and registrations all depend on events. Import events first, then import the dependent entities.
There is no hard row limit, but the 10 MB file-size cap typically accommodates about 50,000–100,000 rows depending on column count. For very large datasets, split into multiple files.
Entity detection costs 5 AI credits per batch (regardless of file count). Each file’s AI field mapping also costs 5 credits. Standard Auto Map is free. Check your credit balance in Organisation Settings.
