• Payment info — processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number
• Communications — messages you send us for support

• Process event registrations and payments
• Send you verification codes, tickets, and event updates
• Share your registration details with event organizers (so they can run their event)
• Improve and maintain the platform
• Prevent fraud and abuse

3. Phone Numbers, SMS & Multi-Factor Authentication

MyEventsAI requires all users to provide a verified phone number as part of account setup. Your phone number is used to send one-time SMS verification codes as a mandatory security measure (multi-factor authentication). We use Twilio, a third-party service, to deliver these messages. Your phone number is shared with Twilio solely for this purpose. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

As an alternative to SMS-based MFA, you may register a passkey (biometric or hardware key) in your account security settings. We store your phone number securely and will not sell it or use it for marketing without your separate explicit consent. You may delete your phone number by closing your account.

4. Who We Share With

We don't sell your personal information. We share data only in these situations:

• Event organizers — your name, contact info, and registration details for events you sign up for
• Payment processor — Stripe, to handle ticket payments securely
• SMS provider — Twilio, to deliver text messages
• Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, or legal process

5. Data Retention

We keep your account data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we'll remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we need to keep records for legal or financial purposes (e.g., payment history for tax compliance). Event registration records may be retained in anonymized form for organizer reporting.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We may use analytics cookies to understand how people use MyEventsAI so we can improve it. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and personal data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of non-essential communications
